The New Russia Township Cemetery is located at 12528 Oberlin Road and is open to the public. For more information please contact the Township office. No pets are permitted in the cemetery.

Grave Lot Decorations

Winter decorations must be removed by March 15th and summer decorations must be removed by November 1st, each year. The Township will remove any grave lot decorations such as flowers, wreaths, potted plants, artificial decorations, etc. should they become unsightly.

Temporary artificial decorations, including metal emblems, wooden and plastic crosses, markers, vases, flags, small statues and guidons would be the preferred items and will be permitted upon cemetery lots and only if the decorations are limited in size and quantity and placed on the sides or behind the monument and do not interfere with maintenance and are not permanent.

Nothing, such as chipped marble or stones, boxes, baskets, shells, toys, crockery, wire arches, shepherd hooks, water pots, glassware, solar lights, or other such objects may be placed upon any grave lot, or objects that may present a hazard or maintenance issues.

All decorations that are removed by cemetery staff shall become the sole property of the Township of New Russia. New Russia Township is not responsible for any missing, damaged or removed items.
